aircraft and for calculating air navigational data, as prescribed in Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport in the Table in Article 66 paragraph 1 of the Law shall be the Inertia Navigation System or the Precision Doppler Radar System.

 

(Standards of Crew Assignment)
Article 157-(3) The standard prescribed in Ordinances of the Ministry of Transport under Article 68 of the Law shall be as follows:
(1) The period of service of aircraft crew (the time spent on board an aircraft and engaged in its navigation; hereinafter the same) shall be limited within the intervals of at least 24 hours, one calendar month, three calendar months and one calendar year, taking the following matters into account.
a) Type of aircraft;
b) Concerning the pilot, the number of other pilots on board who are engaged in navigation at the same time and the presence of aircraft crew on board other than pilots;
c) The state of the route along which the aircraft flies and the distance between aerodromes on the route;
d) The method of flight;
e) Whether said aircraft is equipped with appropriate facilities for resting cr not.
(2) The period of service and working hours other than the period of service of an aircraft crew shall be so distributed that the safety of the navigation of said aircraft shall not be adversely affected by fatigue of the aircraft crew.

 

(Recent Flight Experience)
Article 158. Among aircraft crew engaged in the navigation of an aircraft used for air transportation service, a piJot shall, within a 90 day period prior to the date of navigation of said aircraft, have experience of at least 3 take-offs and 3 landings on board an aircraft which is the same type of aircraft as that of said aircraft used for air transportation service.

 

2. When the navigation prescribed in the preceding paragraph, including a night-time take-off and landing, is among the flights performed under the preceding paragraph, at least one stage of the flight shall be effected at night. Itowever, this shall not apply to the case when the navigation under the said paragraph comes under any of the following subparagraphs.
(1) For navigation by any person who possesses competence certification as an airline transport pilot (this shall only he applied to the case when a class of aircraft specified by the said competence certification shall be an aeroplane) or an instrument flight certification under Article 34 paragraph l of this Law.
(2) For navigation by an aircraft equipped with devices, under the provisions of Article 60, for an instrument flight or a flight by instrument flight
procedures (excluding when an instrument navigation, etc. without such equipment
